Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 6 July 2026 · BusBroker.ie is operated by Parkvale Transport Limited
1. What BusBroker.ie is
BusBroker.ie is a booking marketplace operated by Parkvale Transport Limited. We connect customers who need bus or coach hire with independent, licensed transport operators ("Operators"). The transport service itself is provided by the Operator, not by us. Your contract for carriage is with the Operator who accepts your booking; your contract with us covers the booking, payment handling, and platform services described here.
2. How booking works
- You submit a route, date(s), time(s), passenger count and contact details.
- We show you an instant price based on real Operator rates. This price is fixed for you: you will never pay more than the price quoted at booking. The final price may be equal to or lower than the quote.
- Your job is offered to our network of compliance-checked Operators. The first suitable Operator to accept is assigned to your booking.
- You receive confirmation and a secure payment link. Your booking is only guaranteed once payment is completed.
- If no Operator accepts your job, we will contact you. You will not be charged for unfulfilled bookings.
3. Prices and payment
- All prices are in euro.
- Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- Payment in full is required to confirm your booking. If payment is not completed within 48 hours of an Operator accepting your job, we may release the Operator and reopen or cancel your booking.
- The price includes the journey(s) described in your booking only. Waiting time, route changes, or extensions requested on the day are a matter between you and the Operator and may incur additional charges payable to the Operator.
4. Your cancellation rights
Set out in full in our Cancellation & Refund Policy: 100% refund more than 7 days before travel; 50% refund between 7 days and 48 hours; no refund within 48 hours of travel. Under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013, the standard 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to passenger transport booked for a specific date or period.
5. If the Operator cancels
If your assigned Operator cancels, we will immediately re-offer your job to our network, including standby Operators, at no additional cost to you. If we cannot secure a replacement before your travel date, you will receive a full refund, and we will tell you as early as possible. Our liability for an Operator cancellation is limited to a full refund of what you paid (see clause 9).
6. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate passenger numbers, addresses, dates and times. Operators may refuse carriage (without refund) if the group materially exceeds the booked passenger count or vehicle capacity.
- Be ready at the agreed pickup point at the agreed time. Operators will wait up to 15 minutes; after that the journey may be treated as completed without refund.
- You are responsible for the conduct of your group. Damage to the vehicle caused by your group is a matter between you and the Operator, and the Operator may pursue costs against the lead booker.
- Alcohol, smoking and vaping on board are at the Operator's discretion and subject to law.
7. Operators
- Operators are independent businesses, not our employees or agents.
- Before Operators can receive or accept jobs, we check that they have declared in-date insurance, CVRT (roadworthiness), and PSV/Road Transport Operator licensing. Operators whose declared compliance has lapsed are automatically blocked from accepting jobs.
8. Complaints
Issues on the day (late arrival, vehicle condition, driver conduct) should be raised with us at bookings@busbroker.ie within 7 days of travel. We will liaise with the Operator and respond within 10 working days. This does not affect your statutory rights, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
9. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
- The Operator is responsible for the transport service, including punctuality, vehicle condition, and carriage of passengers. Claims arising from the carriage itself lie against the Operator, who is required to hold passenger insurance.
- Our total liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking.
- We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside reasonable control (weather, road closures, strikes, etc.).
10. Data
We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. General
- These terms are governed by Irish law; Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
- If any clause is found invalid, the rest remain in force.
- We may update these terms; the version at the time of your booking applies to it.
- You can complain to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (ccpc.ie) or use the EU ODR platform.
